Iwo Jima Memorial
The US Marine Corp War Memorial, better known as the Iwo Jima Memorial, located in Arlington, VA just outside Washington, DC. Sculptor Felix de Weldon modeled it after the iconic photo by Joe Rosenthal of6 US Marines raising a US flag on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. The memorial was dedicated in 1954.
